Pitchfork has announced four official aftershows to follow this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival, taking place July 19-21 in Union Park. On July 19, Lincoln Park welcomes Savages and Sky Ferreira (pictured) at 10:30 PM for $20 (sold out.) On July 20, Reggie’s hosts Pissed Jeans and KEN Mode at 10 PM for $12-$15. Also that night, Constellation will host an “Official Pitchfork Afterparty Broadcast” which is free with RSVP. The lineup is TBA and Pitchfork Fest pass holders will receive priority access. And on July 21, Autre Ne Veut and Evian Christ set up shop in Lincoln Hall at 10 PM for $14. You may view all of the Pitchfork-related afterparty information here.
Wavefront Music Festival, taking place July 5-7 at Montrose Beach, has announced the daily schedule for this year’s massively expanded fest. Friday’s lineup includes Cedric Gervais, Chris Lake, LCD Soundsystem DJs, Holy Ghost!, Shit Robot, and Orchard Lounge. Saturday welcomes Bad Boy Bill, Fatboy Slim, Caspa, Derrick Carter, and AC Slater. Sunday features Crookers, Diplo, Justice, and Nicolas Jaar. Tickets are still available for $70 per day or $190 for three days.
The Knife, Hot Chip, Deerhunter, Warpaint, Junip, and The Haxan Cloak are among the initial bands slated to play this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, taking place October 31-November 2 at Grande Halle de La Villette in a park north of the city. Dozens more acts are to be announced for the Pitchfork Music Festival Chicago offshoot. Tickets are now available for €100 and up. UPDATE: Yo La Tengo, Savages, Youth Lagoon, A-Trak, Ariel Pink, No Age, Mac DeMarco, Blood Orange, Panda Bear, Magical Cloudz, Baths, Glass Candy, Iceage, and Disclosure have been added.
The long-awaited third headliner to this year’s Riot Fest has finally been announced, and it’s a doozy: Minneapolis punk legends The Replacements will reunite to play Riot Fest, taking place September 13-15 in Humboldt Park, after a 22-year absence from the stage. The seminal band will also headline Riot Fest Denver, taking place September 21-22 at May Farms in Byers, Colorado, and at Riot Fest Toronto, going down August 24-25 at Toronto’s Fort York. Tickets for all three fests are still available online.
