Camp Bisco Announces 2013 Lineup for Massive EDM Throwdown

Camp Bisco, taking place July 11-13 at Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville Lake outside Albany, New York, has announced its 2013 lineup to include Bassnectar, Passion Pit, STS9, Animal Collective, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Flux Pavilion, Boys Noize, Dillon Francis, Baauer, Toro y Moi, Wolfgang Gartner, Tommy Trash, Umphrey’s McGee, Danny Brown, Dan Deacon, Flosstradamus, Free Energy, Designer Drugs, El-P, Paper Diamond, Rubblebucket, Com Truise, Squarepusher, Green Lantern, Gramatik and, of course, The Disco Biscuits. Tickets are now available for $185 and up.

We Were Promised Jetpacks, The Features to Play Ribfest

Ribfest Chicago, taking place June 7-9 on Lincoln Avenue from Irving Park to Berteau, has announced its 2013 lineup to include We Were Promised Jetpacks, The Features, Bobby Bare Jr., Mucca Pazza, California Wives, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Future Monarchs, Comasoft, and the Leadfoot Band. There will also be a rib eating contest, stuffed burgers, BBQ turkey legs, deep fried Oreos, chocolate covered bacon, maple bacon doughnuts, duck fat fries, crawfish sausage sandwiches, and black angus ribeye cheesesteaks. Admission is a $5 suggested donation.

Hideout Announces New Bellwether Fest June 8-9

The Hideout has teamed up with the Renegade Craft Fair and Vintage Bazaar to bring you the first installment of Bellwether, a new arts festival taking place outside The Hideout June 8-9. The event will feature live music from Tortoise’s Jeff Parker, Black Bear Combo, Ami Saraiya & the Outcome, and Lowdown Brass Band plus DJ sets from Damon Locks, Reckless Records, and Peter Margasak. There will also be a market of handpicked records, vintage goods, and a make-your-own sculpture table in addition to an “audience participation art installation” and free photo booth. The fest will also feature a drunken spelling bee, late-night sketch comedy show, and beer brunch. Admission is a $10 suggested donation to the day fest and $10 for the late-night comedy show, with a limited number of $50 tickets for the beer brunch going on sale May 21.

Riot Fest Announces Lineup for 2013 Punk Rock Carnival

Riot Fest, taking place in Humboldt Park September 13-15, has announced its 2013 lineup to include Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Violent Femmes, Motorhead, Rancid, Blondie, Public Enemy, Guided By Voices, FLAG, Atmosphere, Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., Bob Mould, Best Coast, GWAR, Devotchka, Mission of Burma, Against Me!, Screeching Weasel, Yellowcard, Bad Brains, Peter Hook, Stars, Smoking Popes, Saul Williams, Empires, AFI, White Mystery, and Environmental Encroachment. The fest also includes carnival games, a Ferris wheel and roaming sideshow acts, with more bands to be announced. Tickets are now on sale for $100 and up.

Lollapalooza, taking place in Grant Park August 2-4, has released the schedule for this year’s fest. Headlining Friday night are The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Steve Aoki, and Lana Del Rey. Headlining Saturday are Mumford & Sons, The Postal Service, Steve Angello, and Azealia Banks. Headlining Sunday are The Cure, Phoenix, Knife Party, and Cat Power. Laneway Festival, taking place September 14 in the Detroit suburb of Rochester Hills, has announced its 2013 lineup to include The National, Deerhunter, Sigur Ros, Frightened Rabbit, Youth Lagoon, Washed Out, The Dismemberment Plan, Warpaint, Solange, El-P & Killer Mike, My Brightest Diamond, Chet Faker, Savages, Charli XCX, CHVRVHES, and Phosphorescent. There will also be locally brewed beer and culinary markets at the event, held at the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre on the campus of Oakland University. This is the debut U.S. event for the 7-city Australia-based festival. Tickets go on sale May 18 for $79.50.
