Riot Fest, taking place in Humboldt Park September 13-15, has announced its 2013 lineup to include Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Violent Femmes, Motorhead, Rancid, Blondie, Public Enemy, Guided By Voices, FLAG, Atmosphere, Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., Bob Mould, Best Coast, GWAR, Devotchka, Mission of Burma, Against Me!, Screeching Weasel, Yellowcard, Bad Brains, Peter Hook, Stars, Smoking Popes, Saul Williams, Empires, AFI, White Mystery, and Environmental Encroachment. The fest also includes carnival games, a Ferris wheel and roaming sideshow acts, with more bands to be announced. Tickets are now on sale for $100 and up.
Lollapalooza, taking place in Grant Park August 2-4, has released the schedule for this year’s fest. Headlining Friday night are The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Steve Aoki, and Lana Del Rey. Headlining Saturday are Mumford & Sons, The Postal Service, Steve Angello, and Azealia Banks. Headlining Sunday are The Cure, Phoenix, Knife Party, and Cat Power. Tortoise, Javelin, Born Ruffians, The Oblivions, Derrick Carter, and Jesse de la Pena are among the acts slated to play/DJ this year’s West Fest, taking place in West Town July 13-14 along Chicago Avenue from Wolcott to Damen. More bands are to be announced. Admission is a $5 suggested donation.
FYF Fest (previously known as Fuck Yeah Fest), taking place in Los Angeles State Historic Park August 24-25, has announced its 2013 lineup to include My Bloody Valentine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, The Breeders, FLAG, Beach House, MGMT, Yo La Tengo, Deerhunter, Devendra Banhardt, Death Grips, Toro y Moi, The Melvins, Roky Erickson, Les Savy Fav, Ty Segall, !!!, Dan Deacon , Kurt Vile and more. Tickets go on sale May 16 for $99 and up.
