Introducing Chicago’s Newest Venue: Concord Music Hall
The folks at React Presents, Silver Wrapper, and Riot Fest have teamed up to announce the addition of Chicago’s newest venue: Concord Music Hall, located at 2047 N. Milwaukee Ave. just north of the Western Blue Line stop in Logan Square. The former home of V Live nightclub is now a scalable live music venue that rivals the nearby Congress Theater, with a capacity that varies between 700 to 1600 depending on the show. The bi-level venue boats a warehouse feel with LCD flatscreens, large garage windows, a sleek club-style bar, and shiny hardwood floors. The venue will officially open August 17 with a performance by Gogol Bordello, but you can get a sneak peek of the new space at a preview event August 1 with Adam Ant. Additional upcoming shows at the venue include BoomBox August 24, Disco Biscuits August 31, Jimmy Cliff September 20, Boys Noize October 18, The Misfits October 20, and Less Than Jake November 16. Visit their website for additional shows and ticketing information.
