David Guetta

Currently known as the world’s most sought-after hip-hop and pop producer, David Guetta got his ear for house music DJing in the ‘80s and ‘90s French nightclub circuit. As his name grew he began to experiment with his own music, releasing a few minor club hits before 1994. It took until 2001 for Guetta to finally break things open with “Just a Little More Love”, a collaboration featuring American singer Chris Willis. His debut album of the same name was released shortly after, selling a respectable 300,000 copies. With four more albums to date (as well as production work/collaborations with Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Rowland, and Madonna, to name a few), Guetta hasn’t looked back as his stock continues to skyrocket. With all his celebrity and accolades, it will be great to see him working from his roots again: as a DJ. (Friday, 8:30-10, North Coast Stage) –text: Joel Domanowski
