Moonface

Somewhere on the list of “musicians who apparently never sleep”, not too far behind Jack White, is Moonface’s curator Spencer Krug. Hailing from Montreal, Krug is more commonly recognized as the shaky, monotonous voice of Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Swan Lake, or Fifths of Seven. Now, less than one year after the release of his first full-length solo album, Moonface is busy promoting his newest installment, Heartbreaking Bravery — this time with the addition of Helsinki-based band Siinai providing the album’s dark, dramatic backdrop. The result is a dreamy mix of guitar, synth, and more new-wave progressive epics we’ve grown to expect from Krug. There may be no end to Krug’s side projects (or his side projects’ side projects), which only means more opportunities to witness his infinite talent live.
