The Black Belles

Dressed like four extras from an “Addams Family” episode, The Black Belles’ sound is as fierce and bewitching as their look. As one of Jack White’s many Svengali-like creations, The Black Belles are definitely living up to their rocking expectations. Combining the attitude of The Damned with the approachable garage rock resonance of Buddy Holly mixed with a dash of some sinister church-like synths, The Black Belles simultaneously vamp and vogue on stage. Through ultra-talented singer/songwriter Olivia Jean, the band has the uncanny ability to sound murderous, mischievous, and melodic without alienating (or scaring) their audience. Not much is known about this mysterious gaggle of Goth gals, but one thing is for sure: their live performances are dark, emotional and heartfelt. So bust out your black eyeliner, bring your black lace and don your witch’s hat to come get your bell rung with The Black Belles.
