Wume

Noisy psychedelic electro duo Wume have been making a name for themselves in the local scene as the weirdest band to walk the streets of Chi City in a long time. To the untrained listener it might sound like Wume is playing with sounds they stole from aliens, mutants, and strange tones from nature. They channel their rhythm section from trip-hop and experimental music while sometimes getting a bit jazzy and abrasive in the process. They aim to give their listeners a transcendental experience and, whether or not they succeed, one thing’s for sure: they provide something you clearly won’t get from any other band.
