The former frontman of The Walkmen has been keeping plenty busy since his main squeeze went on hiatus. Hamilton Leithauser has since released Black Hours, a joy of an album with fun romps like “Alexandra” and more low-key affairs like the somber “Self Pity” (though it’s hard to imagine a song called “Self Pity” being anything but somber.) More recently, the dapper crooner collaborated with Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij to release I Had a Dream That You Were Mine, a lighter affair with a little doo-wop in songs like “Rough Going (I Won’t Let Up)” and the harmonica-laden “You Ain’t That Young Kid.”
