Auto Body

There’s always something a little more interesting about electronic producers who can transform into legitimate rock musicians in the blink of an eye. Much like the beat-heavy rockers of Ratatat and The Bloody Beetroots, Auto Body is a rock-infused electronic duo consisting of Tibaut Bowman (a.k.a. DJ Thibault) and Future Rock’s Felix Moreno. By cranking out some funky basslines and sultry synth leads over chopped samples, Auto Body not only blurs the line between genres — but does so with a raw, unhinged energy. After dousing their hometown of Austin in steamy electro fusion for nearly four years, Bowman and Moreno have relocated to Chicago and claimed it as their new home base just in time for this year’s North Coast Fest. Without a doubt, we should expect Auto Body to offer their newly adopted city a memorable, face-melting performance. It wouldn’t be Auto Body otherwise. Auto Body

Austin electronic duo Auto Body supply an abundance of synth and an amalgamation of percussion and bass to accentuate their key-laden, catchy beats. Tibaut Bowman and Felix Moreno intertwine wild, funky dance tracks with smoky, dream-like melodies to create distinctive, off-the-beaten-path electronica. Their moniker is no misnomer; their job is to blur the line between machine and human. In other words, they want to turn you into a dancing robot.
