Indie pop outfit Real Estate didn’t need a realtor to sell their sound. Beginning with their autonomous ‘09 debut, these suburban Jersey boys have collectively architected some of the most beautifully melancholic pop records of this still infantile century. The trio’s tristful opus, 2014’s Atlas, was markedly the last for guitarist Matt Mondanile, who bowed out to nurture his equally slow and low Ducktails moniker. Likeminded agent and fellow Jersey native Julian Lynch was brought on as a replacement, paving the way for 2017’s aero-pop hybrid In Mind.
