Riot Fest, taking place September 13-15 in Douglas Park, has announced its 2019 lineup. And it’s quite a doozy. With Chicago’s premier punk rock carnival celebrating its 15th year, headliners include Blink-182, Slayer, Bikini Kill, The Raconteurs, and Rise Against, plus an array of interesting supporting acts including The Flaming Lips, Ween, Bloc Party, Patti Smith, Violent Femmes, Jawbreaker, Die Antwoord, Guided By Voices, Taking Back Sunday, Descendents, Manchester Orchestra, Bob Mould, Dashboard Confessional, Against Me!, Anthrax, and yes, The Village People. Tickets are currently on sale for $130 and up for a 3-day pass.
North Coast Music Festival, moving from three days to two while relocating to a new site this year at Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island, has announced the 2019 lineup for its 10-year anniversary edition taking place over Labor Day weekend August 30-31. Friday acts include Bassnectar, Flux Pavilion, Jai Wolf, Big Wild, Trampa, Dirt Monkey, and Yung Bae. Sunday performances include Major Lazer, Tchami, Gordon City, Snakehips, Jauz, and Ookay. Tickets are currently on sale for $28+ per day or $51+ for a 2-day pass.
