Ravinia Announces 2018 Season

Ravinia Festival, the country’s oldest outdoor music festival, has announced its 2018 season kicking off with Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys on June 1 at Highland Park’s Ravinia Park. Additional acts throughout the summer season include ZZ Top and John Fogerty, Roger Daltrey performing Tommy, Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang, Steve Martin and Martin Short, Cake and Ben Folds, The Beach Boys, John Hiatt, Jethro Tull, 50 Cent, Yes, the B-52s, and O.A.R. Mamby on the Beach Announces 2018 Lineup

Mamby on the Beach, taking place June 23-24 at Chicago’s Oakwood Beach, has announced its 2018 lineup. Now in its fourth year, the annual React Presents-sponsored festival is Chicago’s only beachside festival and remains one of the most underrated fests in the city. Saturday features Spoon, Common, Grizzly Bear, Tune-Yards, Towkio, Duke Dumont, and Cupcakke, while Sunday includes Cold War Kids, St. Lucia, Richie Hawtin, Oh Wonder, and Jamila Woods. There will also be a DJ tent, community village, and art installations in addition to beachside activities like volleyball and water balloon fights, plus yoga and poetry slams. Tickets are currently on sale for $69-$149.

Pitchfork Music Festival Announces 2018 Lineup

Pitchfork Music Festival has announced its full 2018 lineup including headliners Tame Impala, Fleet Foxes, and Ms. Lauryn Hill. The 13th Annual Pitchfork Music Festival takes place Friday, July 20 through Sunday, July 22 at Chicago’s Union Park. The festival opens on Friday with performances by Tame Impala, Courtney Barnett, Mount Kimbie, Big Thief, Earl Sweatshirt, Syd, Julien Baker, Saba, Open Mike Eagle, Julie Byrne, Joshua Abrams & Natural Information Society, Lucy Dacus, Melkbelly, and The Curls. On Saturday, the festival presents Fleet Foxes, The War on Drugs, Blood Orange, Raphael Saadiq, This Is Not This Heat, Moses Sumney, Kelela, Girlpool, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Circuit des Yeux, Nilüfer Yanya, Zola Jesus, berhana, and Paul Cherry. Sunday features Ms. Lauryn Hill (The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th anniversary performance), Chaka Khan, DRAM, Noname, Japandroids, (Sandy) Alex G, Alex Cameron, Smino, Japanese Breakfast, Kelly Lee Owens, Ravyn Lenae, Irreversible Entanglements, Kweku Collins, and Nnamdi Ogbonnaya. Tickets are on sale now for $75 a day or $175 for a three-day pass, or $375 for VIP.
