Future got his start after a clairvoyant cousin and fellow Dungeon Family collective member urged the Atlanta native to hone his writing skills and concentrate heavily on rapping. Praised for coming as close as any artist to seamlessly coalesce rapping and singing with the aid of Auto-Tune, he’s a master of the mixtape who’s come a long way since peddling his self-proclaimed works of grandeur. Six studio albums later, the gritty wordsmith is recognized well beyond his initial small circles, bringing a pointedly animated and unavoidably provocative sound to our airwaves.
