While he was likely too cool to give a fuck, Liam Gallagher was voted “the greatest frontman of all time” by Q magazine back in 2010. For all the true Britpop lovers out there, the polemic lead singer is releasing his debut solo album As You Were in October of this year. Produced by Greg Kurstin (who has collaborated with artists like Adele, Beck, The Shins and Lilly Allen), As You Were is defined by Gallagher himself as an album that follows a classic line but is “done his way.” And judging by lead track “Glass Walls”, it seems that Gallagher’s iconic voice has no problem taking us back to his early ‘90s glory days. After more than two decades in the music business and nine albums released with Oasis and Beady Eye, the younger of the Gallaghers is back in the spotlight. And he doesn’t give a fuck if you like it or not.
