Just like their band name, Acid Dad’s origin story is just as weird…they became a band at a drag show in 2014. After two years of creating a buzz for themselves, this Brooklyn trio released their debut EP Let’s Plan a Robbery, pretty much a non-stop party soundtracked by raw and energetic garage rock bangers. Their DIY attitude helped them earn buzz from the tastemakers of the blogosphere and, after embarking on a two-month tour, had them turning heads at this year’s SXSW. Currently they are working on their debut full-length, hoping for a 2017 release.
