The timeless phrase “Cleveland rocks” leaves a lot of room for interpretation. Just how much does this city of LeBron, Drew Carey and Steve Harvey rock? And why does it possess such a strong predilection for rocking? Some proof of this theory can be found in the diminutive frames of local indie rock kingpins Cloud Nothings. Over four full-length albums in six years, prolific lead singer/songwriter Dylan Baldi certainly has had a big and brash mentality towards creating genuine rock ‘n’ roll classics. Life Without Sound is their latest release and once again announces Cloud Nothings as one of the premier noise-rock wizards in the game. Begging you to mosh and sweaty bob to their sentimental garage-rock ditties, the energy of Baldi and company is as unique and contagious as a rare disease from the 1800s. Cloud Nothings are looking to not only knock your low-cut socks off, but rattle a few loose molars as well. So get ready to rock, ‘cause that’s what Cleveland does.
