Behold, reclusive indie/mainstream pop artist and part-time Broken Social Scenester Leslie Feist has returned to grant us the pleasure of a brand new album called, well, Pleasure. Six years after Metals, Feist says in an interview with Stereogum how the long break made her “want to try things…I did this for myself, really.” Of course, that doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to enjoy the byproducts of her labor of self-discovery. For example, “Century” is a fuzz rock classic that makes the listener anticipate what’s next before it rips the script and stops abruptly for English rocker Jarvis Cocker to come in and lecture us.
