Though she was already a staple of the Swedish dance pop scene, Robyn really set the world on fire in 2010 with her three-part synth-pop symposium Body Talk (Pts 1-3). After releasing banger after banger after banger across the course of three albums, Robyn dropped the mic in a way only someone as untouchably talented as her could by taking an unprecedented eight-year hiatus. Over this near-decade sabbatical, Robyn’s allure never faded. On the contrary, anticipation only grew as the music world waited to see what Robyn would come out with next. In the end, taking her sweet time paid off and Robyn’s eventual follow-up, Honey, spills sorrow onto the dance floor with a steady-handed spirit that only Robyn could achieve. You can expect Robyn’s set to follow the beats and movements that a DJ set might: starting slow, then building steadily on its own momentum until transforming into an unstoppable dance party to light up the night.
