Still famously straight-edge and active as ever in various animal rights organizations, all members of Rise Against are now well past that age when they were first considered adult punks. Although they started out on the small-ish punk label Fat Wreck Chords, it seems typical for bands to throw once-treasured ideals out the window after signing to a label like Geffen. But Rise Against haven’t, and that really says something about the kind of music they make and who they make it for. They still sound like something between screamo and rock just like they did when they began, which may or may not be a plus depending on who you ask.
