Born in Sudan and raised in Ohio, worldly musician/composer Sinkane has a special faculty for blending the genres of rock, funk and jazz into avant-garde electronic beauty. Some tracks are synth-heavy, which garner a feeling of being smack in the middle of a crowd of teenage festivalgoers amped up on Molly, while other tracks bust out funky drum lines that make you feel as if you’re dancing along with a crowd of ‘70s Saturday Night Fever disco heads. Either way, Sinkane’s diverse roots are clearly reflected in his ever-evolving musicianship. His sweeping knowledge of music and genuine multicultural attitude gives him a signature swagger that is unmatched by any musician this side of St. Lucia.
