“Sons of the Silent Age” is a song by David Bowie about people who are inert and noncommittal in life. The nine members of local group Sons of the Silent Age, however, are definitely far from noncommittal in what they do, which is to bring David Bowie’s diverse catalogue to life in a vibrant show. At this particular show, they will be performing Bowie’s Low in honor of the album’s 40th anniversary. An album that started Bowie’s trajectory towards a more electronic sound, it’s the first of what’s considered his Berlin Trilogy followed by Heroes and Lodger.
