Regardless of your personal opinions of Alex Pall and Drew Taggert, the frat-looking dudes who make up The Chainsmokers, you gotta admit they’ve got a knack for coming up with massive bangers. And they choose their collaborators wisely, from the lesser known Rozes on “Roses” to alternative pop queen Halsey on “Closer.” After releasing only singles and two EPs, they’re finally releasing their first actual album Memories: Do Not Open which includes their latest hit “Paris,” a song that’s less about how danceable it is and more about the lyrics. This trend has actually been Pall and Taggert’s general trajectory since “Selfie,” and what a welcome trajectory it is.
