With their guitar-driven sound and anxious hardcore vocals, Title Fight serve as a throwback to the early days of all of our emo and post-hardcore phases of Warped Tour and too much Mountain Dew. Formed in 2003 in Pennsylvania, the group initially started as a trio consisting of Jamie Robinson on guitar and vocals and twin brothers Ned and Ben Russin on bass and drums, but in expanding their sound they eventually added Shane Moran on guitar. With a name like Title Fight, one instantly thinks of the essential hardcore punk sounds held together with blood and sweat. However in their latest album Hyperview, the band explores a new style, playing with an ambient sound and turning their prolonged aggression into a more refined and lush alt-gaze sound.
