September 2001 is a time that many Americans will never forget. Although for Ween, the date marks what was at the time the 10th anniversary of their legendary album GodWeenSatan. Amidst the utter despair and loss the country felt in the wake of the September 11 attacks, Deaner and Gener managed to perform a show just three days later, playing a set full of songs that had rarely been performed in 10+ years. The entire show was recorded to tape, sitting in a dark archive somewhere for 15 odd years until the brothers Ween mercifully decided to bless us with its glorious release this year. Coupled with news of their reunion and a tour to go with it, it’s about the best memory you’re bound to have of 2016.
